Lots of the new LG plasma screens also have an HDMI connection which enables the display of high definition broadcasts and DVD's, high definition is of a much higher quality than that of the standard displays. Many LG plasma displays also have LG's XD Engine which enhances picture quality brilliantly, it takes standard pictures and enhances them to near high definition levels.

LG plasma screens also come in several formats, when buying an LG plasma television you have to make sure you are getting what you need. For instance if you are buying the LG plasma television for home use then there are a few features that you will probably need, the first is a small stand. These small stands are attached to the bottom of the plasma screen and allows it to stand freely, without the small stand the LG plasma screen would not be able to stand upright alone although this is not an issue if you have a suitable stand or are planning on using a wall bracket. Speakers are also a key feature to look out for as most screens have speakers attached and some models also have SRS surround sound technology which gives a surround sound effect without the need for additional surround sound speakers. The last thing to look for is the digital tuner, for home use a digital tuner is essential so always buy an LG plasma screen with a Freeview tuner.
